Extruded mesh
Extruded mesh, net or ( distance ) netting is commonly used for all kind of applications, from filtration / support to ethetic applications. Extruded mesh differs from woven meshes. They have a greater dimensional stability and rigidity, as the joint structure is welded together. Extruded mesh is available in many different varieties, with regard to application and specification. Applied materials are mostly polypropylene ( PP ) or polyethylene ( PE ). Design features like wire style & diameter in combination with weight per m² result in a certain rigidity. Herebelow you can find some examples.

Extruded mesh is produced in rolls and made available in rolls or cut panels. From a spinning dye, threads are moulded over eachother into a tubular net. By cutting the net open, a flat net is created. Extrusion is a versatile process that allows production of nets varying from 1 mm to 300 mm mesh opening. Extruded meshes are also produced in rigid tubular shape.

As indicated above, applications can be found almost everywhere: from guarding and filtering to reinforcing or (industrial) supporting applications. Averinox is able to advise you the appropriate extruded mesh type for your application. Moreover, we participate with you in the development of new applications and solutions. Standard extruded meshes are deliverable from stock or can be produced as per your specification.
